Kagame Backs Calls For Adoption of Digital IDs

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has said that digital identity would be the start of a long and valuable chain of capabilities that will enable citizens to participate productively in the regional and global economy. He was speaking on the sidelines of the 32nd ordinary session of the AU in Addis Ababa, where he handed over his chair to Egyptian counterpart President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Tanzania’s Manufacturing Industries Fastest Growing Sector in Eastern Africa

According to Africa Economic Outlook 2019 report released on 4 th April, 2019 by Africa Development Bank (AfDB), the achievements came from Tanzania’s landmark decision to revive its manufacturing sector in 2015; today the sector has become the biggest contributor to the GDP among the 14 countries of the Eastern Africa region.
